A.N.G.E.L.S. delivers to Lebanon medicines for children.

A.N.G.E.L.S porta in Libano un carico di medicinali per uso pediatricoThe volunteers of A.N.G.E.L.S. Onlus have delivered a few minutes ago together with the Italian army committed in Lebanon, a load of medicines for diseases related to childhood.

In fact the country is experiencing a dangerous shortage of pediatric medicines and for this reason Italy, through the Association A.N.G.E.L.S. humanitarian non-profit organization, has fallen on the front line to face the emergency.

The request for help was received from the A.N.G.E.L.S. be to the Lebanese military mission called 'Leonte' that started with Resolution no. 1701 11 August 2006. Through the mission, the ONU Security Council has reinforced the military contingent Unifil to deploy in the country south of the Litani river. The National Association Youth Energy Leading Solidatity (www.loveangels.it), headquartered in Rome, was born in order to ensure life-saving medical treatment in Italy for children and young people from countries in war or where the care they need are not feasible.

“The load, that we have delivered, is mainly for the care of childhood diseases with diabetes, unfortunately, very common in the area. The medicines - said Benedetta Paravia, spokeswoman for A.N.G.E.L..S - will be divided into four military bases and a medical civil hospital. "This was only the first shipments that this Onlus will perform in the coming months also thanks to the availability of the group Farmacrimi who assured every effort in an attempt to involve other pharmaceutical groups. "I would like to thank the Italian Military Mission Leontes 8 for the welcome and the excellent coordination of all operations," said Paravia”.
